  8. communications board with 8 high-speed RS-232 serial ports, l0 Mhz 80286
  9. microprocessor, 256 KB dual-ported RAM. A distributive processing BIOS software
  10. downloaded from the main system board allows asynchronous baud rates up to
  11. 76,800. Tty line disciplines are implemented in the BIOS software to offload
  12. the task from the main system. Without onboard EPROM firmware, it is designed
  13. for easy updating of the BIOS software, and for installing customized software
  14. to support special protocols or applications. Provides full modem control on
  15. all ports. Offers a choice of RJ45 or DB25 connectors. Supports up to 4 card
  16. per system -- up to 32 ports per system. IMS8 comes with board, software (to
  17. support SCO XENIX), and manual.
